January 2: Where do you stand?

The Bible says:
“BLESSED is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” Psalm 1v1

“...nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk,...” Psalm 1v1 (Amplified Bible)

“... you don’t slink along Dead-End Road,...” Psalm 1v1 (The Message).

And we try to understand what it means to stand in the way of sinners, like someone saying to you – he just stood there ... and did nothing, or perhaps did something. Like talking, singing, clapping, laughing, dancing, (in one spot), fighting. The fact still remains that standing is a verb that signifies immobility and the question is why are you standing in the path of sinners, and what are you doing there?

Have a glorious day.

Verses for thought:
“And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds);” 2 Peter 2v7&8
