May 26 – He never abandons His own
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13v5
Hmm. Just finished listening to a message, and one resounding encouragement laced within the message, was that “God never abandons His own.” And that is so true. Another thing I love so much is that God hears our prayers, He hears and notes and delights in the prayers of His children – His righteous ones. And He never abandons us. Although I could not find a verse for abandon as such, but Hebrews 13v5 (King James Version) uses two verbs which practically capture the word abandon – leave and forsake. And God’s promise to us, His reassurance to us no matter where we are at or what we are doing, is that He will never abandon – leave us nor forsake us. Blessed be His holy name forevermore.
Amen.

Verses for thought/praise:
“And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.” 1 John 5v14&15
