December 4 – Don’t get spued out

I read in Open Heavens today about eviction and how God said to the Israelites not to defile themselves.

“Ye shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:” Leviticus 18v26 (King James Version).

“You must strictly obey all of My laws and ordinances, and you must not do any of these abominable things; these laws apply both to you who are born in the nation of Israel and to foreigners living among you.” Leviticus 18v26 (Living Bible).

Some of these abominations, which we see in previous verses, include the doings of the land of Egypt, and that of the land of Canaan. So in other words, where God is bringing them from and where He is taking them to, as in physical spaces. But not just in the physical sense as the doings of these lands had spiritual ramifications. Some included sexual immorality, offering up of children for sacrifices and marrying those who are near of kin.

But remember:
John 17v15 which says “I pray not that Thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that Thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” Here Jesus prays to the Father to keep us from the evil of this world as although we are in this world, we are not of this world.

Also know that Jesus said to one of the churches, that in Laodicea,
“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth.” Revelations 3v16
