March 7 – Psalm 15 – Working righteousness
“LORD, who shall abide in Thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in Thy holy hill?
He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness…” Psalm 15v1&2 (King James Version)
“…and who does what is righteous,…” Psalm 15v2 (New International Version)
“…act right, …” Psalm 15v2 (The Message)
“…who works rightness and justice…” Psalm 15v2 (Amplified Bible)
“… and do what is right, …” Psalm 15v2 (New Living Translation)
And we know that our righteousness is as filthy rags before God. And yet, through Jesus, we can work righteously, as we see in Romans 3v22&23:
“Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
And also in Philippians 1v11:
“Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”
Have a wonderful day.
Verses for thought:
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of Me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 54v17
“For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.” Romans 4v3
