March 26: On Knowing God

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well. So today is visitation day for me, and I am excited (yay!). In the Bible, we see one day when God came to earth and visited Abraham, and afterwards, His face was set towards Sodom, for the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah was great. And then, we see Abraham ask this question of the Almighty:

“That be far from Thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from Thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” Genesis 18v25

Here, Abraham was playing the role of an intercessor, basing it on his knowledge that indeed, the Judge of all the earth was merciful. How well do we know God, or let Him know us. Earlier, God also spoke of Abraham that:

“For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken of him.” Genesis 18v19

Have a glorious … and blessed day.

Verses for thought … and praise:
“Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth Me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.” Jeremiah 9v23&24
