January 5 – What you say
What do you say. Say when things are going right, going wrong, going wonderful, going awry. What do you say when you are feeling good, or bad, sad or bright, lovely or miserable. The Bible says:
“By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.” Hebrews 13v15
I remember singing this song recently for a friend that “this joy I have, the world didn’t give it to me, this joy I have, the world didn’t give it to me, this joy I have the world didn’t give it to me, the world didn’t give it, the world can’t take it away.”
Just as the Holy Spirit is in us and His fruit is love, so also is it joy. What do you say – the fruit of our lips that is the produce of our lips is our sacrifice of praise to God. Now the question is what are you planting to produce the fruit of your lips?
Have a glorious day.

Verse for thought:
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in Him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.” John 15v5
Verse for praise:
“I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.” Psalm 16v7
