March 29 – Memories

“But watch out! Be careful never to forget what you yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren.” Deuteronomy 4v9 (New Living Translation).

“SO ISRAEL made his journey with all that he had and came to Beersheba [a place hallowed by sacred memories] and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.” Genesis 46v1 (Amplified Bible)

Memories, memories, memories. Right now I am back in my undergraduate university and I cannot count how many times I have told people that I actually missed it so much that I tried not to think about it – I kept it at the corner of my mind. And yet, it is God that gives us these experiences. And instead of forgetting all about them—perhaps because it hurts too much to think about it—we can call Him to remembrance reminding Him that He who gave you those experiences, those triumphs, those people. Is more than able to give you even greater experiences, triumphs and bring you to meet great people all over again. Hallelujah – it also helps us to hold onto His promises.

Have a great day.

“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.” Hebrews 6v4-6
