April 4 – The One who turns situations around
One verse oft quoted is:
“ARISE, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.” Isaiah 60v1
And is this not our testimony. Haven’t we like Ruth come to rest under the shadow of the Highest? So why be discouraged? Why be downcast? Talk to your Father, seek the counsel of His Holy Spirit here with you, look to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. Yesterday, I had received some disappointing news, but then, I received an email or rather read an email from a good friend reminding me that it is in the valleys that we usually have good soil that produce seed. What a timely message. The valley, not the mountain top!
And now we see the verse:
“Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.” Isaiah 60v15
And may this be our portion in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Verses for thought:
“So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59v19
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light:
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2v9&10
