April 7 – Re – joice / Continually
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well. I am fine and was just wondering about the word rejoice. Often times when we see a word with “re” in front of it, it means to do something again. For instance re-pair, - re-vamp, re-turn, re-cline, re-late and so on. And so on with rejoice. The Bible says:
“Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee: let such as love Thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.” Psalm 40v16
Seeking God, then rejoice. Rejoice in the Lord at all times and again I say rejoice. You may not feel like it, but rejoice. The world may look at you like you are funny, rejoice. It may seem uncool, rejoice.
“REJOICE in the LORD, O ye righteous, for praise is comely for the upright.
Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto Him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
Sing unto Him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.” Psalm 33v1-3
So in the sense of “re” be joyful over and over and over again, revamp yourself in joy. And if ye love His salvation, then continually say, the LORD be magnified.
And guess what, praise is the “in thing” in the kingdom. It is COMELY.
Have a great day.
