January 18 – In the last days …

So in Madrid there are a number of iglesias – churches, just as there are in Holland. In the museum I went to yesterday, there were a number of paintings of Jesus, and Mary and Joseph, and the cross and … But on the streets, I just get the feeling of there is something missing. Even among class mates, the feeling is there – the feeling of people being charge of their own lives but at the same time… Brings to mind these verses:

“THIS know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2 Timothy 3 v 1&5

“For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].” 2 Timothy 3v5 (Amplified Bible).

“They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!” 2 Timothy 3v5 (New Living Translation)

But the good thing is that God has His people everywhere. Pppppprrrrrraaaaaaiiiiiiiiissssssssseeeeeeeee the Lord.
